The Nevada Opera Association held their Donor Appreciation Night at Jeff Ross Photography Studio on Wednesday November 11. A live broadcast from Artistic Director Michael Borowitz, who was in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, had the crowd excited about the upcoming season. Performances by Mezzo Soprano Olivia Hakel, Bartone Steven Meyer, Tenor Andrew Sonnemaker, accompanied by Melissa Johnson on piano were the highlights of the evening. Attending guests help raise funds for the upcoming opera season.

Teens looking to apply for college art programs spent a evening with Jeff and four other professional creative at the NMA last week. The group was brought together to help young artist prepare and present their portfolios for review. Key points that were discussed included, image selection and sequencing, crafting an artist statement, and how to properly photograph your work for your portfolio. The panel of professional included painter Ron Rash, photographer Jeff Ross, printmaker and UNR professor Eunkang Koh, graphic designer Erik Flippo, and product designer/illustrator Todd White.
