Jeff received notice from the Advertising Photographers of America, San Francisco chapter that one of his images was chosen for the 2009 Something Personal Show. This is a juried show of any non-commercial work by the region’s leading photographers. The judges, Margaret Johnson – Group Creative Director, Goodby Silverstein & Partners, gspsf.com, Paul Curtain – Creative Director, Eleven, eleveninc.com, Zana Woods, Art Buyer, Wired Magazine, wired.com, Jennifer Jerde – Principal & Creative Director, Elixir Design, elixirdesign.com, Fabio Costa – Creative Director, Cutwater, cutwatersf.com, viewed over 800 entries for this year’s show. The top 100 will be displayed at Leftspace in San Francisco. The opening night and reception is Dec. 11th 6-10 p.m.
The image that was chosen is from a series that Jeff has been working on for the past 2 years. In the winning image William is receiving his monthly box of food from St. Vincent Food Pantry, a service provided by Catholic Community Services of Northern Nevada.
Jeff has been working with CCSNN photographing the people who are positively impacted by their services. An exhibit of the entire project will be at the Metro Gallery in Reno City Hall in Feb 2010.
